         My mission in education is to ensure that all students understand that they have a specific and equally important role in the classroom and in society, despite any differences in ability level or prior achievement. I follow the idea that if I expect my students to learn and progress every day, that I should then hold myself to the same standard; therefore, I consider myself a dedicated teacher and an avid learner. I am a strong believer in kindness, fairness, and equality to promote the development of a comfortable, safe, and growth-oriented academic environment.  I also maintain high expectations of my students both academically and behaviorally.
